Takht Sri Patna Sahib or the Gurudwara Patna Sahib of Bihar, India, holds very high importance in the history of Sikhism as this the birth place of tenth Sikh Guru Dhan Sri Guru Gobindsingh Sahib Ji. Guru Sahib was born here on Paus Sudi 7, Sambat 1723[23 December 1666].
Sikh History says that alike the many other Gurudwara, this Ganga river banks situated Takht Sri Patna Sahib Gurudwara was also constructed by First King of Sikh Empire, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji. This is also historic fact that during the first journey to Adi Guru Guru Nanak Dev Ji have stayed here on their journey to Gaya, an important Buddhist pilgrimage in India.
